The album sounds wonderful, and I admire how Mahadev makes the sacred art of kirtan his own… the long songs in Gurmukhi or Sanskrit carry us particularly far away—we wish they would never end, and yet, as if by magic, they stop when necessary, accompanying us through takeoff and journey as well as landing.
